When Will I See Results?

Is There Downtime?
The total healing time from an MicroPen EVO procedure depends on the pen position used and the number of overlapping passes your healthcare professional performs. On average, patients experience redness for two to four days. Some patients heal completely within 24 hours. Most patients report noticing a redness to the skin following the procedure.
Is It Painful?
Many patients report that the feeling of the MicroPen EVO on their skin is like that of sandpaper being moved across the skin. While some areas of the skin are more sensitive than others, the speed of the reciprocating tip makes the treatment more comfortable.
Who Should Avoid This?
MicroPen EVO should not be used on active skin cancer in the treatment area; patients with open wounds or an allergy to stainless steel or anesthetics; Have bleeding disorders; are pregnant or nursing; are currently taking drugs with isotretinoin (such as Accutane).
How Many Treatments?
Some patients only require a single treatment in one visit just once a year to achieve noticeable results. However, most healthcare professionals recommend that patients receive a series of two to three treatments spaced six to eight weeks apart for best results. For patients with significant skincare concerns, such as deep acne scars, it is recommended to receive six to eight sessions at six-week intervals.
