Traditional laser hair removal treatments or IPL Laser hair removal often require 6, 8, 10 or more sessions. With Triton, we are seeing on average 70-80% hair reduction in just 3 treatments (about half the number of traditional ‘Gold Standard’ lasers) by blending these wavelengths together.

The mosaic combination of wavelengths addresses hair removal at different stages of the hair growth cycle. This means that deep hairs can be treated at the same time as newly emerging follicles. Thus, patients can see greater results sooner, and in fewer sessions.
How Many Treatments?

Is It Permanent?
If anyone is telling you their laser is 100% permanent, run! No laser on the planet can make the promise of permanent hair removal. Hair growth depends on hormonal status, hair density, age, weight, medication, ethnic and genetic background and the desired hair reduction. Clients may require an annual touch-up of the area, or touch-up every few years as the above factors change.
How Do I Prep?
We ask that you shave the area between appointments and 24-hours prior to your treatment. Please do not pluck, tweeze or wax, we need the hair root and follicle there so we can fry it!
How Much Time Between Sessions?
Everyone is different, but in general, face can be treated every 4 – 6 weeks and body hair can be treated every 6 – 8 weeks. Be sure to book your next appointment in advance so that we catch your hair growth cycle.
Shave Between Appointments?
Yes! Shaving face or body hair does not change its thickness, rate of growth or colour. The hair may appear stubby during the early growth phase due to the razor tip, but as the days go on and the hair grows, the tip softens.
Sun, Injections & Sweat
Sunscreen is a must! Direct sun exposure is not recommended one week before or two weeks after your treatment. Wait 14 days after your treatment for Botox or Dermal Fillers (on the same area). Do not sweat after laser, the bacteria in sweat can infect the hair follicles.

How Does It Work?
Lasers emit specific wavelengths of light that can pass through the skin and specifically target the pigment within the hair. When enough energy is absorbed by the pigment, the follicle is permanently destroyed. The laser can burn or discolour the skin, just one of the reasons to have treatments done by a registered nurse or certified laser technician.
Targeted Hair Growth
Hair follicles have three phases of a growth cycle. Only hair follicles that are in the active growing phase (anagen phase) can be permanently destroyed. This is one of the reasons why multiple laser hair removal treatment sessions are needed in the same area to obtain adequate clearance. Hair can grow back sometime later beside that zapped follicle, resulting in a touch-up a year or two down the road.
Save Time!
Large areas such as a back or full legs can be treated in about 15 minutes. The effectiveness of Triton’s contact cooling makes the treatments very tolerable. Although we apply a gel, a very slight sunburn-like feel may be noticeable, for some people this lasts a few minutes, but there is no downtime.

The Alexandrite laser is one of the most effective lasers for the treatment on light skin because it has a strong absorption in hair melanin.
Diode Laser Technology
The Diode laser is one of the most common lasers available, as it is the middle ground between an Alexandrite and an Nd:YAG, with overall safe and effective results.
Nd:YAG Laser Technology
The Nd:YAG laser is a safe choice for darker skin types, however, the 1064 wavelength doesn’t absorb hair melanin.
